Common Reasons Why Emails Aren’t Arriving

How to Fix Outlook Not Receiving Emails (Windows & Mac)
Step 1: Check Your Internet Connection
1. Open a web browser and try loading a website.
2. If the internet isn’t working, restart your router or switch to another network.
Step 2: Check the Spam & Other Folders
1. Open Outlook and go to the Junk Email folder.
2. If you find your missing emails, right-click them and select Not Junk.
3. Also, check the Focused Inbox (Outlook 365) and other folders like Clutter.
Step 3: Verify Outlook Storage Limits
1. Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
2. Select your email account and check the Mailbox Cleanup section.
3. If your mailbox is full, delete old emails or archive them.
Step 4: Remove Blocked Senders
1. Click Home > Junk > Junk Email Options.
2. Select the Blocked Senders tab.
3. If the sender’s email is listed, select it and click Remove.
Step 5: Check POP/IMAP & Server Settings
1. Click File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles.
2. Select your email account and verify that the Incoming mail server (IMAP/POP)is correct.
3. Ensure the correct port settings are being used:
• IMAP: imap.outlook.com, Port: 993, Encryption: SSL/TLS
• POP3: pop.outlook.com, Port: 995, Encryption: SSL/TLS

Step 6: Restart Outlook & Check for Updates
1. Close Outlook and restart your computer.
2. Click File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.
3. After updating, test if emails are arriving.

How to Fix Gmail Not Receiving Emails
Step 1: Check Your Spam Folder
1. Open Gmail and go to the Spam folder.

1. Open Google Drive and check your storage usage.
2. If your 15GB limit is full, delete old emails, files, or photos to free up space.

Step 7: Try a Different Device or Network
1. If you’re on WiFi, switch to mobile data and try refreshing Gmail.
2. If you can receive emails on another device, your original device may have a firewall or security setting blocking Gmail.
